Your Safety is Our Number One Priority 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our event might look different this year but our passion and commitment to fight cancer is unchanged. The health and safety of all our guests and participants is our number one goal.

 

Please follow this page for important details which will continue to be updated based on our unique needs. 

 

We are looking forward to welcoming you Friday, October 1st for the American Cancer Society’s 7th Annual Advancing the Breakthrough event.  In order to adhere to all COVID protocols for social distancing and the health of our guests, our event will be held outdoors at the beautiful Mann Center for the Performing Arts. 

 

Below you’ll find details on our safety precautions, and the link to our Covid-19 Safety Policy. We appreciate your understanding of this process as we strive for an extremely safe event experience.  

 

The American Cancer Society is requiring that every guest review our COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgement Policy on cancer.org. Please help us keep check in moving quickly by sharing this information with your guests if you are a sponsor of our event. 

 

We are adhering to the following COVID-19 safety precautions:  

  • Guests are required to provide proof of vaccination. Valid forms of proof of vaccination are: 

  • Original, copy or picture of your CDC vaccination card 

  • Documentation from a healthcare provider 

  • Personal digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by your State or by an approved private company 

  • Masks are encouraged and will be provided upon arrival if you do not have one.  

  • Seating at tables for cocktail hour will be limited to 6 chairs each and seating for our program and performance will be distanced from one another. 

  • Social distancing between guests will be encouraged at check-in, ‘step and repeat’ and bars. 

  • Hand sanitation stations will be placed throughout the venue. 

  • Vendors and volunteers are required to wear masks at all times.  

 

If you are feeling sick or have been recently exposed to someone who recently tested positive for COVID-19, please stay home. People who have underlying health conditions or taking medications that weaken the immune system, should talk to their healthcare provider before attending large gatherings.
